Pumpkin Carving


Alphabet Quote


"Love the life you live.  Live the life you love."

Using basic household items, I took pictures of thing that looked like letters in the alphabet in order to later create a quote only using the photographs I took.

Web Assignment 4: Alfred Stieglitz

1. Alfred Stieglitz was a well know photographer throughout the 1800 and 1900's, and he is famous for making photography an accepted form of art.
2.  The photo at left is one of his famous photographs, admire it because I love how the lights are vivid in the background, but the trees darken as the image is further away.
3. Alfred was romantically influence by Marius de Zayas, a Mexican artist, writer and art gallery owner in the early 1900's.  She was known for her New York arts circles.

The picture appears to be slightly distorted due to the photo paper being placed in the can that is rounded as a curve.  When the image was originally reflected onto the paper, it was reflected upside down because of the light patterns.

Web Assignment 3: Brownie Camera

1.A brownie camera was a snapshot, low priced, photography camera that was created in hopes of enabling more and more people to have access to taking pictures.
2. The brownie camera was created by Eastman Kodak in the 1900's.
3. Brownie cameras changed society and photography by allowing more and more people to have access to photography at low prices.  Rather than just having inventors or people with more income to be able to be involved in the world of photography, normal, everyday people were given the opportunity to take pictures.
